Fostering is Golden

MHS is pleased to welcome Detroit Lions player Golden Tate to the foster family! Golden and Elise Pollard are fostering Rosie, a sweet bulldog who arrived at MHS in pretty bad shape. She was also positive for heartworm disease and has been undergoing treatment. She will be with Golden and Elise for another couple of weeks before she is ready to find her forever home!

Check out what Elise has to say about Rosie…

Golden and I LOVE our sweet Rosie… This foster dog who’s up for adoption could not be cuter. She wants to cuddle all day, she follows me around like a baby duckling… She wouldn’t hurt a fly. We think she’d be great with all types of families, she’d even be great if you had small children (she honestly just wants loves all day) she pushes up/ nudges on you kind of like a cat would. She was abused and found on the streets of Detroit and was afraid of men and loud noises but she is already warming up to guys as we’ve had a ton of the Detroit Lions over to play with her. She loves Golden because he’s so sweet to her. She’s never shown any signs of aggression (I don’t think she has a clue even how to growl – she’s that sweet)…

  2. It great to see a real man and a real NFL player. I love that he choose to foster dogs instead of fighting dogs. The NFL needs more players like Golden
